Influencing the development of tools for behavorial neuroscience

New technologies like machine learning open new possibilities in developing tools for behavioral neuroscience. Yet, input from the users themselves remain essential. In this presentation, Dr. Bongers will show how your input over the last years, combined with new technology, had a significant impact on EthoVision. Deep Learning for body point detection, and automated annotation of behaviors are 2 examples. Innovations currently under development will also be shown, like automated annotation of user-defined behaviors and studying social behavior in the dark. Your presence will give you the possibility to see how you can influence the evolution of the tools used at your institute on a daily basis.
