Biosketch
Christian Limberger has a master’s degree in Biochemistry and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil under the supervision of Dr. Eduardo Zimmer. He was nominated one of the 2022 Alzheimer’s Association Ambassadors and is an IBRO 2023 Early Career Awardee (ECTP). He also obtained a mobility grant from the RRI Impact to spend 3 months in the CRMSB, in the team of Anne-Karine Bouzier-Sore. His research focuses on the understanding of brain energy metabolism, and in particular on the astrocytic function in neurodegenerative diseases, with a special focus on Alzheimer’s.
