Dean Lewis elected president of the University of Bordeaux
This Monday, January 24, 2022, the Board of Directors of the University of Bordeaux, elected Dean Lewis, as president, in the first round of voting by a large majority: 29 votes for out of 35 voters, 5 blank votes and 1 null.
Professor of electronics, vice-president of the board of directors of the University of Bordeaux from 2014 to 2018 and vice-president in charge of human resources from 2018 to 2022, Dean Lewis succeeds Manuel Tunon de Lara for a 4-year term.
During this session, Catherine Gauthier, professor of public law, was elected vice-president of the Board of Directors, on Dean Lewis’ proposal, and received 32 votes in favor out of 35 voters and 3 blank.
She succeeds Antoine de Daruvar.
On February 3, 2022, the Academic Council will meet to elect its vice-president, the vice-presidents of the Training and University Life Commission, the Research Commission and the student vice-president.
